Accelometer Calibration
Our Services :
We calibrate the accelerometers using an accurate back-to-back comparison of ICP (IEPE), charge mode piezoelectric, piezoresistive, capacitive and velocity sensors in accordance with ISO 16063-21. We can test accelerometers from 5Hz to 15 kHz using an air bearing shaker. We can measure Sensitivity, Amplitude, Phase, and Bias of your accelerometers. We have a huge database of Accelerometer specifications and test requirements that allow us to use an automated system for calibration procedures.
All calibrations performed include As Found and As Left Data and are traceable to NIST, The National Institute of Standard and Technology and are performed in accordance to documented and controlled procedures. Our Quality Assurance system complies with the applicable requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO 9001-2000, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21 and ISO/IEC 17025. Upon request, we can provide calibrations that are accredited to A2LA.
Accelerometer Calibration Overview
Accelerometer Basics
Accelerometers are inertial transducers that can sense mechanical motion and convert it into an electrical quantity that may be conveniently measured or recorded. The accelerometer, either alone or with other electrical components, produces an electrical output signal related to the applied motion. Accurate accelerometer calibration is a way to provide physical meaning to this electrical output and it is a prerequisite for quality measurements.
Calibration Basics
The manufacturer of an accelerometer subjects the design to a wide variety of tests to determine output due to a large number of inputs. Output characteristics commonly measured include sensitivity, frequency response, resonant frequency, amplitude linearity, transverse sensitivity, temperature response, time constant, capacitance, and the other environmental effects (base strain sensitivity, magnetic sensitivity, etc).
Inako Pratama is proud to announce the expansion of our electronic calibration services to now include accelerometers and associated shock and vibration test instruments. Inako Persada is the Midwest’s only calibration laboratory capable of performing calibration services on this equipment, and one of the few nationwide. Inako Pratama has skilled factory trained technicians that will be able to perform calibration services in-plant or at the lab. Our calibration unit is portable and permits us to service customers nationwide!
